Even though it's already technically spring and I hate the cold just as much as the next person, I always appreciate a snow day (or two). We had three snow days this winter season here at TCNJ, and I've loved being cooped up inside and relaxing or maybe catching up on homework. (Just kidding, I don't enjoy that.) Nevertheless, a snow day is always a good time to catch up on everything and take a break from the long week. So, if you're looking for something to do on your next snow day, here are my suggestions:
1. Drink hot chocolate
Now I'm normally a coffee drinker, but there's just something about having a hot cup of cocoa when the outside world is blanketed in snow that always makes me smile.
2. Watch Netflix
I know I wasn't the only one doing this during the last few snow days. Sometimes it can be hard to watch your latest binge-worthy show during the week, so a snow day is the perfect time to indulge yourself!
3. Read a book
Just like watching Netflix, reading (for pleasure) can be hard during the school year, especially because as an English major, I read so many books for my classes. That's why I love to spend a snow day cozying up to a good book.
4. Play in the snow
In my opinion, you're never too old to play in the snow. If you're feeling adventurous and you've got the gear for it, go outside and throw some snowballs and make snow angels.
5. Sleep
I don't know about everyone else, but this is my absolute favorite one on the list. Most mornings, I'm up relatively early, so I definitely use a snow day as an excuse to sleep in a bit later than usual. It's well deserved!
I hope you've enjoyed my list of things to do on snow days, but I'm also hoping that we're done with the snow for this year. Summer, where are you at?
