One of the most annoying things is when you smear your lipstick on your blouse when you put it on, or just staining your clothing in general. It looks unprofessional and it sucks that even when you wash it, the color is still slightly visible. Here are my top 8 life hacks that I would highly recommend for people who like me, are pretty clumsy.
1. Lemon For A Sweat Stain:
This mostly happens during the summer depending on how much you sweat. Usually, when you sweat while wearing light colored clothing the sweat tends to leave a light colored residue. These stains almost NEVER come off when you wash them. The sour part of the lemon is an acid that soaks things up. So when this is put on the sweat stain the clothing piece is pretty much good as new.
2. Vinegar On Coffee Stains or Blood Stains:
If you like coffee and you drink it every morning, then chances are you may have experienced this plenty of times. Especially when you are in a rush to be somewhere. If you get a small bowl and mix vinegar into it. Use an old tooth brush to help scrub the coffee stain off of the piece of clothing that was extracted with coffee and wa-la! Also, adding vinegar to any blood stain will also reduce the appearance of the reddened area.
3. Dish Soap For Chocolate Stains:
Chocolate is one of the most branched out sweets ever. Ranging from cake to pudding, and especially candy. Chocolate also happens to be a darker color and if it is a candy bar then that can be a mess. If you take a warm towel and add dish soap of any type, most of the chocolate stain will disappear.
4. White Chalk For A Oil Stain:
I don't know about you, but whenever I cook with any type of oil, it always splashes on me. If this ever happens then I usually throw my T-shirts away. I recently read online that white chalk gets rid of the oils in clothing. I tried it myself and was shocked when I saw that basic sidewalk chalk got rid of an oil spot on my favorite band tee!
5. White Wine For A Red Wine Spill:
You've had a long day at work or even school and just want a small glass of wine to go with your dinner, but then you spill it all over your daily wear. If you have white wine then quickly add that over the red wine stain. Lightly rub the red wine stain with a dry damp towel.
