Summer vacations are absolutely great. You get to sleep more than usual, not worry about countless hours of homework and you get to go out and do fun things with your friends.
What isn't great, is preparing for school after a long and relaxing break...
1.Assuming you have a job over the summer be sure to save, because on the first day of school your professors will be going over the syllabus and then he or she will get to the topic of books and in some cases supplies needed for the class and if you save money you won't even have to completely lose your mind over the amount.
2. Speaking of syllabus and professors, don't forget to be an over achiever and go to your online classroom portal at least a week before school begins, because typically a professor will begin to post on there and will also expect his or her students to be aware and understand new things before the class begins.
3. Catch up on sleep, now. I know, I know. It sounds ridiculous to catch up on sleep, but the more you spend your time not working or hanging out, the more sleep you'll be able to have and it will be worth it, especially when you are in school and you are running on two-hours of sleep.
4. Also, have as much fun as you can, because soon you'll be spending a lot of time doing homework and studying for tests. That doesn't mean you can't have fun while in school, it just means you may be having less of it.
5. Familiarize yourself with your class schedule. This includes times, classroom locations and breaks you might have in between classes. This might seem irrelevant, but when you have this down you won't have to think twice about how to plan your days and that saves you a few minutes in your day.
