When you moved into college, you were so excited to decorate your dorm, go to incredible parties with all of your new bestie and, eating endless pizza. Now that your Marilyn Monroe poster has been posted on your concrete wall and you have been to every single themed party at Kappa Sig, you are just aching to go home see your dog and, eat your moms homemade lasagna. Here are five ways you know that you are in the mid semester slump.

1. You're Sick. Like All The Time.

All you want is to stay in bed all day and binge watch Gossip Girl. But you have an Anthropology midterm at 8 am so you MUST STUDY.

2. You Miss Your Dog

All you want to do is cuddle up with your 200 pound horse and cry a little.

3. Studying Has taken Over Your Life

I knew college was hard, but no one told you that you would have to be studying for three days straight before a term test.

4. You Have Nothing To Wear

You wardrobe in college consists of free T-Shirts, Nike shorts, Birkenstocks and maybe a pair of jeans.

5. You Are Counting Down The Days Until Thanksgiving

All you can eat turkey, free laundry and your own queen bed. Honestly what is better than that?

Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
