5 Ways That iDubbbz Has Mastered Youtube
Twitter

The notorious Ian Carter has been blessing the Youtube community for almost 6 years. He is famously known for his Kickstarter Crap and Content Cop series, most specifically aimed at Jinx, Keemstar, LeafyIsHere, Tana Mongeau and RiceGum. He is also known for his videos featuring fellow YouTube legends TVFilthyFrank, Maxmoefoe and Howtobasic.

If you haven't heard of iDubbbz or at least seen memes of him, you best believe your sweet bippy you'll know him when you're done reading this article.

1. He doesn't give power to words.

iDubbbz is a firm believer in the fact that the more you say words, the more you normalize them. This goes for curse words, racial slurs, and other offensive terms. Ian is especially passionate about how the n-word should not be put on a pedestal when it comes to comedy, like if it's acceptable to use terms like chink, towel head and spic then the n-word is no exception. Though many people disagree, it's actually very logical.

2. His content is freaking unreal.

This man literally ate vomit, hair, and other bodily fluids for the views. It's so disgusting, but we can't look away. Need I say anymore? His other series includes Content Cop, which features Ian critiquing and criticizing other Youtubers' content. His most popular videos include him talking about Tana Mongeau, Keemster, Leafyishere and Ricegum. Kickstarter Crap is also another segment in which he discusses Kickstarter ideas and his opinion on their practicality. What makes viewers come back for his videos is his stern, yet honest and intellectual opinion on people/products. He isn't afraid to say anything and does not have a filter, which can catch the attention of many.

3. His sense of humor is...different.

What sets iDubbbz a part from the rest of the YouTube community is his dark and morbid sense of humor. His impulsive style is a relief from all of the serious and complicated problems going on in our world. His gritty, gross, and disgusting humor is actually pretty simple, relating to shows like Ren and Stimpy. It's a classic slapstick-like comedic style that we all secretly miss, iDubbbz just brings it back in the most extreme and offensive way.

4. He handles criticism incredibly well.

With all his fame and off the wall humor, Ian is bound to get loads of criticism. Many of them are from viewers who simply just don't understand what his content is about. In October 2017, Youtuber normie lord, Ricegum made a video slandering iDubbbz' content, with petty playground insults. Making fun of his looks, personality and sexuality, as well as his content and his use of the n-word. Being his pompous self, he told Ian to make a Content Cop about him, which he did. After Ricegum got what he asked for, he made a diss track about Ian. The track mainly shows Ricegum flaunting his mansion and money, while small parts of it actually disses Ian again, about his looks, sexually and personality. Ian then shocks the entire YouTube world with his OWN diss track back at Ricegum featuring fellow Youtubers Boyinaband and PewdiePie.

Along with clever uses of figuarative language, Ian and Boyinaband make valid points about his content, his allegations with other Youtubers, his obsession with money, and his hyporcrisy.

Don't believe me? Watch both diss tracks for yourself.

5. He isn't your typical Youtube sellout.

Here's what I liked most about the videos...they have a great deal of intellectual honesty and an actual point to them while still being funny in a way that was very "anti-YouTube." What I mean by that is: by the time 2015 rolled around, Youtube had already become a place full of dishonest people trying to produce videos they disliked themselves to please their audience. The visibly forced smiles of soulless people promoting products in their videos got very weary after a while, I grew less and less attached to the YouTubers I used to look up to.

iDubbbz was the total opposite of that - he neither had any sponsorships and the stuff he featured on his segments regularly. He just did what he loved, with no expectation of financial gain out of it.

To sum things up, if you like morbid humor, honest opinions, satirical internet rivalries, and have a strong stomach go subscribe to iDubbbz. His videos are truly a unique experience.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
