It's official, Halloween has come and past. The time of unlimited candy, dressing up as anything you want, and the time where taking candy from strangers isn't considered weird is over. We all have different ways of spending Halloween, some go out and trick-or-treat, some go to parties/bars, while others are the scrooges of Halloween. No matter what way you spent your Halloween this year, there are many ways you know it was successful.
1. The amount of candy you received is uncountable!
Whether you received this candy from trick-or-treating, from friends/family/professors, or from the day after sales, you'll enjoy it no matter what.
2. Your costume was recognized and praised.
We all have our creative side when it comes to Halloween costumes, some more than others. You have the basics, the nerds, the athletes, and the, as Mean Girls would put it, the ones who "dress like a total slut and no one can say anything about it." Halloween is a time to embrace yourself. Me? I was a princess, duh.
3. You can't remember the night or weekend.
Let's face it, once you reach the adult world, your Halloween is filled with parties and the bars. Some partied all weekend. There were day parties, night parties, and lets not forget the bar scene. All of these could lead to drinking and enjoying yourself, only to wake up on November 1st hungover from the weekend before. Hey, at least you had a good time!
4. Halloween is your favorite holiday, so it is a success no matter what!
We all have our favorite holiday and maybe, Halloween is yours. Halloween is the only night where pretending to not be yourself is acceptable. You can be anyone or anything you want, there are hundreds of hunted houses, and thousands of scary movies to watch. You enjoy every Halloween because it's your day. Eat, Drink, and Be Scary!
