Rising Latin trap star Bad Bunny has become a driving force in the Latin music world. His most recent album is entitled YHLQMDLG, standing for "yo hago lo que me da la gana." Translation being, "I do what I want," Bad Bunny shows exactly that by his lyrics and fashion statements shown throughout the album.

1. Social Advocacy

While appearing on Jimmy Fallon, Bad Bunny performed while wearing a shirt advocating for Alexa Negron Luciano, a transgender woman who was shot and killed in Puerto Rico. Bad Bunny's shirt translates to, "They killed Alexa, not a man in a skirt." While performing, Bad Bunny was also wearing a skirt himself.

2. Lyrics

In Bad Bunny's song, "Yo Perreo Sola," which means I twerk alone, it sends the message of no means no. The artist speaks about how a woman in the club doesn't need you, so leave her alone. However, if she decides she does, then you may approach her.

While filming his music video for "Yo Perreo Sola," Bad Bunny is seen dressing as a woman, complete with prosthetic body parts. By doing this, Bad Bunny puts toxic machismo to shame. He shows that it doesn't matter who you are or what you wear.

Bad Bunny's fashion choices are more than eclectic. The Latin Trap star is no stranger to dressing against the norm, and showing that it is OK to express yourself.

Although Bad Bunny's actions may seem simple to some, this is huge for the Latin community: to be able to show who you really are and how you feel. Latin machismo is being thrown out the window thanks to Bad Bunny. He is a guiding light towards the end of toxic masculinity.
