There are many hidden gems on Netflix, some of them being Netflix originals, while others are simply British television shows, here are 5 shows that I’ve seen that are absolutely a must for Netflix viewers.

1. 3%

If you followed the Hunger Game chronicles, 3 percent is definitely a show you would enjoy. It takes place in the future, and the concept of doing what you have to in order to survive is present in this show as well. When babies are born, there are signed up by their parents to partake in the Process, which is long drawn out series of events that candidates must go through in order to reach the Off Shore however, they are told at the beginning that only 3% of them that have qualified, due to the combination of being registered and reaching the age of 20, will only make it to the Off Shore (the utopia that everyone from the Inland aims to reach through the Process).

2. Black Mirror

This show has the suspense of a horror movie in each and every episode, and if that is your kind of thing, this is without a doubt a show for you. The greatest component of the show is that none of the episodes connect. They each purposely tell a story from beginning to end and when the next story begins it is a completely different story.

3. Stranger Things

Since its release, this television show has taken over the internet. If you have a Tumblr account, you most likely did watch the show out of curiosity and got hooked because it was just that good. The show is about a boy in middle school who life changes after one of his close friends goes missing and they must work together in order to find him and rescue him. His mother even begins to connect the dots about where he went and even eventually helps her son’s friends to find him.

4. Chewing Gum

This show tells the story of a 24 year old virgin who begins to think about the possibilities of changing that. Her family (especially her mother and sister) are extremely religious so has to keep it a secret. The man who she was dating for many years even begins to bore her due to the fact that he doesn’t ever show interest of taking things to a sexual level. Eventually she meets someone new who shows a lot of interest in her and she is more than open to seeing where thins unfold from there.

5. Orange Is The New Black

Last but definitely not least, If you have not taken the time to at least give this show a try, now is time. The show tells the story of a young women who’s thrill of past catches up with her and ends up sending her to prison. While serving her time, she meets interesting people who become her friend along the way, while also finding out more about herself than she ever noticed before. Eventually the truth comes out about how she ended up in prison and the women, who introduced her to the life earlier in her years, ends up at the same prison as well.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

For those long nights that turn into mornings when the struggle is real.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
