It’s about to be summer vacation time in 3 weeks! I can’t believe the end is so near, but I couldn’t be happier. This semester’s been a crazy one, more so than usual, so I think a much-needed vacation is in order. There are many ways to relax over summer break, but soon college will be over and summer break won’t mean much, so you have to make the most of your vacation. Going on a vacation with your family is the best and most exhilarating experience to remember over the summer! Check out these awesome hot spots to visit and enjoy!

1. Ocean City, Maryland

There are many exciting and thrilling activities to do in Ocean City. From enjoying a ride in the Jolly Roger Amusement Park and Trimper’s Rides to visiting the beaches, museums, and golf parks. There is a wide variety of things to do for the kids and parents alike. While the kids can enjoy parasailing and the water parks, parents can enjoy the many, many casinos!

2. Niagara Falls, New York and Canada

The Falls offer some breathtaking and picturesque views of the beautiful waters. The Journey Behind the Falls attraction is one of the best and most adventurous experiences I’ve ever had in my life. You get the chance to explore 130-year-old tunnels. You descend 125 feet below the falls and get to experience the splashing waters that offer a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Moreover, the Maid of the Mist allows you to take an amazing boat ride in the falls and enjoy one of the world’s natural wonders of the world!

3. Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida

The place that is dubbed as the most magical place on Earth, Disney World Florida, is a treat for the whole family. Just being in those parks elevates moods and puts a beautiful smile on everyone’s faces. The whole park is filled with infinite attractions such as Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Universal Studios. You can also check out their well-known water attractions such as Sea World, Discovery Island, and Discovery Cove, so have fun while swimming and petting the dolphins!

4. Grand Canyon, Arizona

This natural wonder of the world is a site to behold. Experiencing the high winds of the tall rocks gives you the feeling that you are flying on top of the world. You see the beautiful rock layers that Mother Nature has craved and experience a breath of fresh air like never before. The canyon also has a famous attraction known as the Glass Skywalk, a $31 million project that hovers 3,600 feet above the ground and its higher above the ground than most skyscrapers of the world!

5. Honolulu, Hawaii

The greatly populated city in the state of Hawaii houses many volcanos and historic landmarks. From world class dining to bursting nightlife is the way to enjoy the cosmopolitan city. You can enjoy snorkeling, scuba diving, and aviation adventures with your family. Also, you can pay your respects at the USS Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor, a monument to the tragedy that struck our country in 1941.

Let loose a little and feel a cool breeze once in a while! Life is going to always get in the way of relaxing and enjoying with your loved ones, so clear your schedule this summer and go book a flight to one of these amazing places!

It is that time of year again. Christmastime. It is one of my favorite seasons for a myriad of reasons. Here are just a few reasons why I love Christmas. This list is in no order of importance.

1. The Christmas decorations

I am that person who will decorate directly after Thanksgiving is over. This year, my roommates and I put the tree up in our apartment before we even left for Thanksgiving break. It is a great stress reliever for me to just sit in my living room and work on the huge amount of work I have before the semester is over.

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?
