Well, if you are like me, then you are probably used to growing up with a younger sibling. Maybe you have a few or maybe you just have one. In my case I only have one. We are three years apart and still best friends. Having a sibling is pretty rewarding. You have someone there for you 24-7, 365 days a year. Someone that listens to your problems and helps you find solutions, while also always having your back. If you are in my position and have a younger sibling who happens to be a sister, then you will most likely agree with some of the things I am about to talk about. Only people with a younger sister will understand these things — and what better way to illustrate the bond of sisterhood than with Olson twin gifs?
5. Sleepovers every night
I can tell you this right now: You will never have to beg your mom or dad to have a sleepover ever again if you have a younger sister. It is like a slumber party every night at my house. Besides, we probably spend about 3 hours talking about random things before actually hitting the hay. Sleepovers are great for us, especially since I am away at school most of the year. It is good to always have some quality time with my BFF!
4. Constantly finding her in your clothes
I must say, there will be times where I am in my sister's clothes. But for a good portion of time, she is usually in mine. We definitely have reached a point where her clothes are my clothes, my clothes are her clothes, etc. We still fight over it, though. I will see her in a shirt of mine and she will pull the, "It was in my room, it is mine" card.
3. You will have different views
Although my sister and I basically share a brain, we do have our differences. We definitely do not agree on everything, but we somehow find a way to compromise. There could be times where we are on the same page 100 percent, and others I look at her like she is crazy.
2. It feels cool to have someone look up to you
Being someone that another person looks up to is a huge deal! Clearly, you are doing something right if they want to do everything you do. It goes both ways with my sister and I. She has looked up to me for 16 years now, but I have also looked up to her in aspects of my life, too. She looks up to me so I have to make sure she is making good decisions and being safe. What can I say? I am basically like her mom.
1. Always having her back
I will always be there for my little sis. Three years apart feels like nothing when you have a relationship like this. We do absolutely everything together and support each other through the good times and bad. For the rest of my life, I will always put her before anyone else, she is my sister and she will always be!
