If you do not have any plans for Valentines Day, fall in love with these underrated romance films instead:

1. "Celeste and Jesse Forever"

From best friends in college, to marriage and then to divorce, this film illustrates the reality of what many couples experience. Throughout the film you expect this couple to live happily ever, as most romance films end, however, there is a different conclusion for Celeste and Jesse. This film does not follow the mainstream romance movie plot, which is what makes Celeste and Jesse so unique and most of all, real.

2. "Short Term 12"

Working at a group home for teenagers alongside her boyfriend, this film revolves primarily around Grace, who is incapable of loving the idea of a family. Not only is this film about the love between Grace and her partner, but about the love between Grace and the teenagers at the group home. Love is not easy and raising a family is definitely not easy, but Grace tries her best, which is what everyone should do. This film is all about the idea of never giving up, no matter how hard it is.

3. "One Day"

Although the title of this film might sound cliché, the plot of the film is the opposite of that. A movie about two friends that are meant to be, but never have the timing right, portrays that sometimes life does not turn out as you would like it to be. There is always the hope that one day these two best of friends will wind up together, but you never can be sure. The uncertainty of this is what makes “One Day” an amazing film.

4. "Life Happens"

“Life Happens,” which can also be referred to as “shit happens,” embodies the life of a single mother trying to find love. It isn’t an easy process, as she has to balance living in a house with roommates, working full time, and most of all, taking care of her baby. Throughout this process of trying to find love, Kim begins to lose sight of what is really important to her and she learns that the hard way. If you’re interested in a film that has a mix of comedy, love and drama, “Life Happens” is a must-watch.

5. "Hit and Run"

The love between Annie and Charlie is so intense, and you feel that as they make sacrifices throughout their lives in efforts of making one another happy. “Hit and Run” brings couple goals to a whole other level, as their main purpose in life is to make each other happy, even as they are in the middle of being chased by dangerous delinquents. With a great mix of action, comedy, romance, drama and suspense, “Hit and Run” is the most bad-ass romance movie you can watch.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
