We've all seen -- or at least heard of -- the classic Disney movies like The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast, but what about the Disney movies we forget about? If you haven't seen these forgotten gems, you should definitely add them to list.
1. Home on the Range
In this fun and very underappreciated movie, three cows are forced to save their "Little Patch of Heaven" farm when a greedy outlaw plots to take it. Aided by a ninja stallion and a rag-tag band of farm animals, they go on an musical western adventure to save their home.
2. Fantasia and Fantasia 2000
In this musical adventure, sounds are brought to life through Disney magic. These are still some of my favorite Disney films because of the amazing amount of creativity put into them. Short scenes lead the audience through treacherous oceans and beautiful mythical gardens by using classic masterpieces.
3. The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Based on the classic Victor Hugo novel, this animated classic tells the story of Quasimodo, who learns love and acceptance with the help of his gargoyle friends and a gypsy dancer, Esmeralda. Not to mention it has the evillest Disney villain ever to evil.
4. Brother Bear
Brother Bear will always hold a special place in my heart, for it is a very special movie. When Kenai, a young Inuit man, needlessly kills a bear, he is magically turned into a bear himself. With the help of a bear cub named Koda and a ridiculous pair of moose, this movie tells a story of self-discovery and unconditional love.
5. The Aristocats
The Aristocats is my favorite Disney movie of all time (cats + music = happiness). Set in Paris, France, an eccentric millionairess leaves her entire estate to her cat, Duchess, and her three kittens. The cats have the adventure of a lifetime when they are kidnapped by the butler, who hopes to gain the fortune, and have to survive life on the streets. They are helped by Thomas O'Malley, an alley cat, and his band of swingin' cats, who teach the cats there is more to life than high-society.
