5 Types Of People You See At Costco.
BlogCDN

As an employee of Costco Wholesales, I have been exposed to many types of members that walk into our warehouse. Here are a few popular ones...

1. The Toucher.

They walk by clothes. Touch. They see soft towels. Touch. They can't decide what cheese to get. Touch. The "Touchers" feel the need to have their hands on anything and everything they can. It creeps me out a little to think how many other people may have touched my Costco purchases before I did. The worst is when the Touchers pick up clothing, leave them all in a mess and don't bother to fold it properly. As an employee, it's one of my biggest pet peeves.

2. The Habitual Shopper.

While working at Costco for close to two years now, I have slowly began to notice the habitual shoppers who tend to come in one too many times a week. They know the name of every cashier, crack jokes and ask how their kids are doing. They know the ins and outs of Costco. Even more than me sometimes.

3. The "Do you know where ____ is?".

Most commonly asked question asked. It's understandable for members to get confused where certain items are in the store as we move things around almost everyday. I am not in charge of the forklifts and do not move items, therefore, I do not always know where everything is as well. Please do not get mad at me for not knowing. I try my best to help out as much as possible. Costco's tend to have sections that are split up based on haba (health and beauty), food, appliances, clothing, etc. That should help!

4. The Sampler.

I can't complain here. I love when we have endless samples in the store. Who doesn't love free food of all sorts. But, there are the ones who only come into the store to feed of the free samples and always go back for seconds or thirds. They're called samples for a reason. Buy the whole thing if you're hungry.

5. The Hurrier.

Especially during the holiday seasons, this type of person is very common to see. They rush through the entrance, weaving in and out of people with their carts. In general, they are the ones who piss off other members the most. I will never understand the hurry to grab something where you could injure people while you are speeding. Slow down. There will always be enough churros.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
