Now that you have arrived at college, Halloween has transformed from just a fun day to go around and get candy to a full week of activities, parties, and many costume changes. However, you will find yourself questioning whether or not you keep seeing the same 5 people thought the week. Stereotypes suck, but in this case, they are well deserved...Here are the 5 types of girls you will meet during Hallo(week):
1. "The Try-Hard"
This girl has been waiting 364 days for Halloween to come around again. This is her time to shine and you better believe that she has DIY-ed her costume on the cosplay level. No, she won't be drinking because she is obviously too busy roaming the party making sure that everyone sees her costume and taking plenty of pictures to post on Instagram until Halloween rolls around next year.
2. "The Basic"
Cat ears? Check. Sharpie nose and whiskers? Check. Overly tight black outfit? Double check. This girl has been wearing the same costume since Freshman year of high school and will probably never switch it up.
3. "The Barely There"
It's no secret that girls (and guys!) use Halloween to dress as scantly clad as possible and still be able to pass it off as a "costume." To be fair, for girls at least, it is almost impossible to find a cheap costume that doesn't have the word 'sexy' in the title. By the end of the night they'll be begging anyone for a coat and walking home in shame.
4. "The Edgy One"
Chances are this girl is in the corner asking everyone "really? You don't know who I am?" as if it's a surprise. Either she is making a very bad pun with her costume or she has dressed up as some extremely rare indie reference.
5. "The Last Minute"
This girl acts as though Halloween sneaks up on her every year. She will just throw on an oversized t-shirt draw a face on it with a sharpie and go as an emoji and act as though she had this planned for weeks! Someone should really tell her we know she forgot....
