“Roseanne”, “Gilmore Girls”, “Boy Meets World” and so many others have gotten their chance at a reboot. But, I know five others that need and deserve one.
1. "F.R.I.E.N.D.S."
Of course, this is going to be number one on anybody's reboot list. It has been fourteen long years since "Friends" left our weekly sitcom line-up. What better way would there be to celebrate it's fifteen year anniversary off air than to have a reboot to see where our all beloved characters are today? We have a right to see Joey get his happy ending!
2. "Freaks and Geeks"
James Franco, Seth Rogen, and Jason Segel are three of the most hilarious actors in today's comedies whom all derived from the most underrated TV show the 90's had to offer. After only a short single season of laughs, it was canceled. "Freaks and Geeks" needs to be brought back now more than ever. It showed us the real dilemmas high school brings and it would be hilarious to see where everyone is now in their lives as middle-aged parents with their children attending their alma mater.
3. "My So-Called Life"
What girl, or guy, did not have a crush on Jordan Catalano? If you didn't want to marry him or be him then props to you. "My So-Called Life" brought raw emotion to the TV in every living room. It provided untouched teenage angst and awkward stages that no show could compete with. Today's teens need a show such as this that they can identify with.
4. "How I Met Your Mother"
It's only been four years since "How I Met Your Mother" ended, but it's been four years too long. We may never forgive them for killing off Tracey and making Ted end up with Robin. But, we need to see more. How long had it been since Tracey passed before he started telling his children her story? Do Ted and Robin really make it stick this time? What is Barney like raising a teenage daughter? And, most importantly, we need to bring back the best couple to be created in the TV universe. Lily and Marshall's relationship gave something for couples to inspire to be. They taught couples lessons on how to love while still following your dreams, solve problems and still keep the chemistry alive after years of being together. We need our questions answered.
5. "Last Man Standing"
Before Roseanne's shocking choice to support President Trump, Tim Allen was taking that lead. Last year, “Last Man Standing” was canceled because of Tim Allen's political views. There have been rumors of it being picked it up by another network and I, for one, am that idea's biggest supporter. Tim Allen's character, Mike Baxter, was raising three teenage and adult daughter's in today's society whom all share different political views while still throwing in exceptional comedy. It showed what real life America families are dealing with in today's political difference's. His voice deserves to be heard and I am willing to listen.
Enough of the bad Disney Channel remakes, let's start getting to the good reboots.
