Like most people. when I watch a TV show I get emotionally invested in the characters. So when the Finale does not have enough closure to finish off the show, I get quite angry about it. While the first two aren't technically over yet, with all the emotional distress I have endured with these characters it might as well be. The last three should have way more thought out endings or shouldn't have broken my heart

5. Supernatural

In a way, Supernatural has been over since season 6. How many times do I have to watch Sam and Dean die in order to save Bobby or each other? While the season finale always has me pumped by the beginning sequence with the theme "Carry on My Wayward Son" it is the same season finale EVERY SINGLE TIME. One of them end up in hell, or someone dies. There is never real closure, and that is why I am still not over this show.
4. Sherlock

This show is also not complete, but with the time they are taking to film this TV show, it feels like an end(two years is too long in-between seasons). Each finale leaves you completely guessing on a cliff-hanger. With the most recent ending, bringing back a villain that could possibly destroy the world and kill Sherlock. The worst episode, in my opinion is when Sherlock FaKeS hIs OwN sUiCiDe!! THATS NOT A WAY TO HAVE A SEASON FINALE!!!! Also your Best Friend had to watch you fake kill yourself, without knowing it was fake??? Luckily, they did end it with a little hint that he was still alive(and I knew there was the next season which calmed me down a little) but I am still mad at Moffat.
3. How I Met Your Mother

I think anyone who has seen this show, can attest to the complete and utter outrage of the last episode. If someone has not complained to you about this now, you must be living under a rock. The way they frame this episode changes your entire perception of the show--not only was it slightly disgusting that he told his love life to his kids, but the entire point of the show was to get his first love back. Personally I think the show changed visions from the original few seasons because A. they changed voiceover narrators from an old guy to young Ted again and B. the kids were not grossed out by the end.
2. Lost

Yes, the last season had SOME closure. No, it did not make sense. You finish the season with so many unanswered questions about the characters, the island, and the show itself. Was it all just a dream? Did they actually get rescued? What was the point of an alternate timeline if it still ended in death? I do think it was hard to end such a great, impossible, show, but it needed something more than what it got. They either needed to be rescued and we see another plane crash to the island or something else. There needed to be more explanations for what the show was. It tried too hard to have a Science Fiction Agatha Christie mystery feel, that it ended up infuriating audiences like myself. The season finale was directionless and sloppy, ironically making that last season itself, well, Lost.
1. Merlin

If you have not watched this show, I highly recommend it. Its addicting, fast-paced, and honestly hilarious. A teenage version of Merlin the great Sorcerer is just what everyone needed. The show truly focused on the theme of King Arthur as "The Once and Future King" making the ending truly heartbreaking for me. Merlin was willing to sacrifice absolutely everything for Arthur, and he still rejects him because of his magic. More than that, Arthur dies in a giant battle because he refuses to get help from Merlin. Flash foreword into modern day society(2000s era) and you see old man version of Merlin, still waiting for his Once and Future King Arthur to show up, so he can help train him. He has been wandering the earth for hundreds of years, waiting. And he will continue to wait for him. If that's not true heartbreak, I don't know what is. This show desperately needs a modern-day spinoff where Arthur comes back, so I can get some closure and stop thinking about how this TV Show finale ruined me.
Closure is so important, but in a way it helps audiences keep that show in their mind, tormented by this lack of ending. The endings of this show are tireless, talked about constantly by critics and viewers alike. These horrible endings live on and these conversations spread the word of these shows, even if in the end, our favorite characters betray us and break our hearts.
