5 Clothing Trends for Spring 2019

New fashion trends arise every season, so I'm here to tell you the five that are here this spring season.

1. Fun Prints / Colors!

As we've all probably seen, animal print is everywhere. I personally love it, but I know some of my friends are bored of it or think it's too much. This spring, fun, colorful crazy patterns are in. Some stores are even mixing floral and graphic prints, and we're here for it. Also, colors like coral, fiesta red, bright pink and bright blue are in. Prepare to see bright colors on a lot of pieces.

2. All Neutral Outfits

Basically the opposite of the first trend: neutrals. This spring we're loving all neutral outfits. Nude pants with a cream top for the spring weather. Sometimes, less is more.

3. Feather Tops

Sometimes, your outfit needs a little spruce and a feather top is a perfect way to do that. A little bit of feather can go a long way. The trend has been here the past few seasons but hasn't made a big impact, yet. This is the season for feather tops.

4. Biker Shorts

Biker shorts have been around for the past year and has been really popular with Instagram influencers. It's not a trend that's popular around my area yet, but I'm sure this spring and summer everyone will be pulling out their biker shorts. The longer shorts remind me of when I was in elementary school, and I think it reminds others of that too, which is why we're hesitant. But, this spring and summer I can guarantee we'll all fall in love with the cute and comfortable look.

5. Crochet

Crochet is a look I've always loved. When I think of spring, I think of a crochet white dress with brown sandals and a brown bag. Some people are hesitant with crochet because it reminds them of their grandma's knit blankets or bohemian pieces, but not this season. Crochet is going to be all over accessories and clothing pieces, even shoes.

Jump ahead and get those trendy pieces for this spring so you're ahead of the game!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
