5 Traditions To Start This December

There's all sorts of traditions that families have for the holiday season, but my family's are my favorite.

1. Putting Tournament

A putting green is put down in the hallway, a bracket is made, and a winner is crowned. The winner gets to keep the cup for a year and $10 worth of lottery tickets.

2. Christmas Vacation on Christmas Eve

What is my stepdad's birthday and Christmas Eve without watching the best movie to bless the holiday season?

3. Lottery Tickets

Okay, so this one sounds a bit strange. But in my family, all of the adults bring $10 worth of lottery tickets and then we exchange them and scratch them. Weird tradition I know but its seriously so much fun.

4. Driving around and looking at Christmas lights

Yes, I know, literally everyone does this. But, why would you not want to? It's the best, plus if you had hot chocolate, even better.

5. and finally, breakfast on Christmas morning

Yet again, another that quite a few families already do. But after we open presents, my stepdad will usually make breakfast for our whole family, extended included.

There you have it, five traditions that my family does, that I hope your's will start to do as well. There's so many other traditions that other families do, but these are guaranteed favorites.

Here are just a few signs that prove your current friend group is the ultimate friend group.

Only those who have grown up with siblings knows what it feels like to fight, prank, and love a sibling. Ross and Monica Geller were definitely overbearing and overshared some things through the series of "Friends," but they captured perfectly what real siblings feel in real life. Some of their antics were funny, some were a little weird but all of them are completely relatable to brothers and sisters everywhere.

College is a great place to meet people, especially through Greek life. If you look closely at sororities, you'll quickly see there are many different types of girls you will meet.

1. The Legacy.

Her sister was a member, her mom was a member, all of her aunts were members, and her grandma was a member. She has been waiting her whole life to wear these letters and cried hysterically on bid day. Although she can act entitled at times, you can bet she is one of the most enthusiastic sisters.

It becomes harder and harder to focus in classes and while doing assignments as the days get closer. The winter has been lagging, the days are short and dark, and no one is quite themselves due to lack of energy and sunlight. Let's face it: life is ten times better in the summertime.
