You have an interview coming up and you are nervous about it. Here are 5 tips to help calm those interview nerves.

1. Research the company.

Visit their website and get to know the company by reading their mission statement and history. You can also use Glassdoor.com to look up reviews, salary requirements, and interview questions.

2. Practice.

Search for questions asked at a ______ interview on Google and start preparing answers to questions that might be asked. Be sure to practice enough that you won’t be blindsided by a question, but not too much that it sounds rehearsed.

3. Pre-visit the site.

A day or two before the interview take a trip to where the interview will be held. You want to evaluate how long it takes, be familiar with where you need to be once you get there, and if there’s a chance of running into traffic or construction.

4. Get your portfolio together.

Make sure that you have multiple copies of your resume and references in case you are interviewed by multiple people. Include in your portfolio any past work that will showcase you can do the job you are interviewing for.

5. Get rest.

You should get a good night’s sleep, don’t be out late the night before, regardless of the time of interview. If you are serious about wanting this job then you need to be at your best.

Remember these tips for your next interview and it might be your last!

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
