With the end of the school year coming up, students are beginning to prepare for their exams. Since there are only a matter of weeks left before the end of the school year, here are a few tips to help you prepare.
1. Find out when your exams are
This might sound self-explanatory, but if you make a schedule to know when your exams are, it will help you in the long run.
2. Figure out which exams will be the hardest for you
Some exams are quite easy, but some exams require more studying.
3. Space out your studying
Don’t wait until the last minute to cram for the exams. Odds are that you will forget most of the information on the exam, and you won’t do as well as if you study ahead of time. Start studying as soon as possible in little increments to help you retain the information.
4. Get help if you need it
If you keep studying and you just don’t understand a topic or you would like some extra help, don’t hesitate to ask. Your professor has office hours to help you, so schedule an appointment or drop in. If that doesn’t help or you just don’t want to ask, go to the CSL. The CSL is a very helpful resource for students on campus. If nothing else works, see if you can get a tutor or a study group.
5. Don’t fret; stay calm
If you’re nervous, but you studied and got help, don’t fret because odds are, you will do better than you think. If you put in an effort to pass, you probably retained more information than you think!
Good luck on all your exams! I know you can do it! If you put in the effort, I know you'll do fantastic!
