Whether its a cumulative exam, or everything after the midterm-- You need to get the stuff in your brain by tomorrow.
1. Flashcards
Just like in elementary school, we're bringing out the old flashcards. Putting key information on flashcards and reviewing them will make sure you're studying relevant and important information. Use the front and the back, and have a friend test you on it.
2. Repetition
There's a rumor that if you repeat something seven times in a row, you will remember it. Its worth a try! Also, I find that reviewing right before bed and after waking up is a refresher that is bound to stay in your mind.
3. Voice recordings
As mentioned about if you hear it constantly it will begin to stick. Put your voice recording app to use and record all of the valuable material that you will need to know for the exam. Then, listen to it throughout the school day until you're repeating the answers.
4. Make charts/Visuals
There are visual learners in this world. If you are one then make a chart or a visual that will aid you in preparing for finals. Relevant information only !
5. Summarize and re-teach
If you can learn something and teach it, you know it ! Summarizing and helping someone else understand your assignment can really help you to remember or keep in mind the information that you need to know. During finals week I wouldn't suggest asking a friend because they may genuinely be confused and may have follow up questions--there's no time for that. We have a final to worry about ! Just pretend someone is there and that you need to teach them what it is that you are working on.
And when you're done all of this-- out loud yell " Taa Dahh" !
