With the spring semester having already begun, the transition back into school can be hard. The amount of homework, balancing school with a social life, studying, club meetings, and so much more can contribute to a higher stress level. Here are five things you can do to help you relax and focus on what you need to get done.
1. Listen to music.
Being a music lover since I was young, music helps me stay calm and focus when I'm stressed.
2. Go take a shower.
For me, taking a shower helps me relax because I'm not worrying about finishing something or where I have to be next.
3. Take a nap.
Although I don't nap, it helps others relax for a bit, especially after a late night of studying with little sleep.
4. Use a planner.
Having everything planned out and organized can be very helpful to avoid becoming stressed. If you just have a large pile of work sitting on your desk, it can become overwhelming.
5. Have a hobby.
Doing something you are passionate about can help you relax because it's something you love doing. For me, sitting down and playing a couple songs on my acoustic guitar usually helps.
