5 Times "Pokémon Go!" Made You Suffer

You wanna be the very best.

5 Times "Pokémon Go!" Made You Suffer

Pokémon was pretty much your childhood. You valued the TV show and carried your Pokémon cards like they were your biological offspring. The amount of time and care put into Pokémon in your past can finally be translated into the present.

On July 6, 2016, Niantic released an app called "Pokémon Go" and changed everything. Ever since its release, masses of people have been scouring their community to capture Pokémon and find Pokéstops. Because of this app, you now have another refreshing purpose in life. However, "Pokémon Go" can be quite irritating. You just can't forgive what this app put you through.

1. Jealousy.

Every time you scroll through your Facebook feed, you see your friends' statuses filled with screenshots of their Pokémon collection, a rare Pokémon they captured or taking ownership of a gym. You're instantly filled with an envy towards your friends whenever you look into your collection because all you have are Pidgeys, Rattatas and Zubats.

2. Neck and shoulder cramps.

You can forget about good posture when you download this app. 100 hours of studying can't compare to the cramps you get walking around the streets huddled over your phone in anticipation of a wild Pokémon appearing. Your eyes are probably burning from staring at the screen for hours on end. Congratulations, your neck is now at a perfect 90 degrees.

3. Sore legs.

It seems like a win-win situation: you add more Pokémon to your Pokédex AND you get your daily dose of movement. So in order to find more Pokémon, you'd rather walk than drive. What may have been a great idea suddenly becomes dreadful when you see that it takes 10km to hatch your egg in the egg incubator. It's hard to hack your way through this one, so you're just going to take it old school and walking the full 10km, even though your legs are already sore from that 2km walk. Your stamina has never been greater.

4. Potential car accidents and near-death experiences.

For some odd reason, you have an intense desperation to find Pokéstops so you take your car and go on a long drive just to find them. The "no texting and driving" rule is easy for you but your eyes are glued to the Pokémon GPS in case you miss a turn for that Pokéstop in the middle of the forrest with the graveyard next door.

5. So. Much. Frustration.

This app is still new so you're guaranteed all the bugs and glitches that come with it. You're supposed to have 34 Pokémon but instead you have 12 because of all the times this game froze, crashed or lost the GPS signal. The incense that attracts new Pokémon somehow stopped and right when you catch the highly sought after Pikachu, the screen freezes and the signal is lost. This game causes so much frustration but something tells you to keep persevering because you "wanna be the very best."

You gotta catch 'em all.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
