Disney and Pixar never fail to pull at your heart strings. From happy tears to laughter to sad tears, they're pretty good at hitting every emotion in the books. They put you in the feels to say the least. And what better example than Inside Out? Don't believe me? This might change your mind.
1. Bing Bong Vanishes
Bing Bong begins to be forgotten, and in the process, asks Joy to fulfill his wish of flying Riley to the moon like they had always planned. To back-track a little, Bing Bong only disappears to be forgotten forever in order to make it possible for Joy to be in charge and make Riley happy again. Who knew an imaginary friend could be so caring?
2. Riley Comes Home
After an attempt to run away, back home to Minnesota, Riley comes home and her core memories go from happy to sad. There's just something about a family crying together over missing home that is so real.
How about some happy and funny scenes now?
3. Family
Throughout the movie we get to see a variety of Riley's favorite memories, her forgotten ones, and the ones that have helped shape her so far. At these times, we see how important her parents are to her. She's goofy with them, she's honest with them, and sometimes a little sassy. The family is beyond cute; seeing their happiness spreads happiness right from the screen.
4. Brain Freeze!
We've all felt a brain freeze physically. But how can you not giggle at these emotions freezing up in headquarters?
5. The Control Panel
At the almost end of the movie, Headquarters receives a new control panel; filled with swear words and a big button labelled "PUBERTY", all of the emotions begin working together and expanding Riley's emotional comprehension. It's so adorable to see them all acting functionally.
If you haven't seen the movie, I highly recommend it. If you have seen it, watch it again. As a considerably relatable movie, it puts a person considerably in the feels. And makes you laugh. And makes you happy cry all while sad crying.
