We all know waking up to the “class is canceled” e-mail is a similar feeling to Christmas morning. The unexpectedness of a snow day, especially in college, comes with the freedom of an empty day. Most stores are closed, activities are canceled, and campus is quiet.
Days like these are rare but make for a nice break in the rigor of a college student’s life. After 3 nor’easters this winter, here are a few thoughts students have on a snow day.
1. Should I sleep all day?
I definitely could make this choice, even though I probably shouldn’t, but I definitely will.
2. Do I get ahead on my work or order food and go back to bed?
My desk is piled up with assignments, but my bed is too comfortable to leave.
3. Am I hungry enough to trek out to the dining hall?
The dining hall is 500 feet from my dorm, but I have to bundle up to go outside and risk the frigid temperatures.
4. Do you think Insomnia delivers in this weather?
They are probably closed, but I’ll definitely call anyways.
5. Will classes be canceled again tomorrow?
*Says my prayers*
