College, going into it, we all thought it would be this super fun thing that's totally different from high school. So far, we have experienced many different emotions throughout the first semester of college from laughter to tears here's five thoughts every college student has during their first semester.

1. "This isn't even hard."

In the very beginning, we all thought we had college under control, we were starting to manage our time wisely and do everything as we should.

2. "Never mind."

We all got that wake-up call moment when we realized we only thought that college was easy because we hadn't received the full work load yet, and now that we have, we are feeling it hardcore.

3. "Is it eating Ramen every day safe?"

We've all found ourselves in the ultimate struggle eating Ramen way more often than recommended, got to eat somehow right?

4. "Is it too late to drop out?"

Honestly, maybe this one is just me but I can't tell you how many times the thought of dropping out seemed to save my sanity.

5. "Do I really want to be *insert major here*?"

At some point in time many of us question our majors, we more often than not stay with it but sometimes we switch and that's okay. Your first semester, if not your first year is all about deciding what you want for you.

Regardless of how bad the first semester may seem intially, it's important to remember why we all started and what the end result will be. It will not be easy but we're all in the same boat and we will get that degree.

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
