5 Traditions You're Never Too Old For: Easter Edition

Many Easter family traditions include activities meant mainly for children. It might be embarrassing to take pictures with the Easter Bunny at the mall with your little cousins or play the egg-on-a-spoon game outside. If you're in college, some of these may feel tiresome and juvenile, and you might question how you ever possibly enjoyed them. But there are a few traditions that you're never too old to love.

1. Decorating Easter eggs

You’ll never be too old to dye eggs and decorate them. From writing secret messages on the eggs in wax to dipping them in the perfect shade of dye, there’s always something a little fun about dying eggs.

2. Easter egg hunt

Easily, you can turn this into the ultimate game of search and find. Your parents used to hide Easter eggs (practically) in plain sight, but now you have the chance to give your siblings the egg hunt of their lives. Make it difficult, and don't worry if you lose an egg or two along the way. Well, it won’t matter if they’re plastic ones.

3. Appreciate the flowers and spring weather

Usually around this time, there are flowers blooming and spring weather is imminent. Even if you’re not religious, you can take time to visit churches with beautiful floral decorations and elegant landscaping.

4. Eating chocolate bunnies, Cadbury eggs and Peeps

This is pretty self-explanatory. We're never too old for chocolate.

5. Having dinner with your family

If you celebrate Easter, then there's a good chance you have a traditional family dinner to celebrate. No matter how old we are, we're definitely never too old to love a home-cooked meal with the family.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
