If you're from Columbus like I am, you will definetly see these around Cbus (as us locals call it). If you're from any other part of Ohio, you'll probably relate to this. If you're not from Ohio you probably won't understand this article and that's a shame.
1. THE Ohio State University (football, The OSU medical center, and the school itself.)
This had to be the first thing on my list. Almost everyone's dream as a kid living in Columbus is to be a Buckeye. Although I don't like the football team (sorry Buckeyes but Roll Tide!) the school itself is excellent. It boasts an award winning network of hospitals, including the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Research Institute, Wexner Medical Center, and the Ohio State University Medical Center.
2. Columbus Zoo and Aquarium
People from all over Ohio, the Country, even the world travel to see the columbus zoo. Why? Its award winning, which does not come as a surprise because the zoo in addition to managing itself owns waterpark Zoombezi Bay, Safari Golf Course located right across from the zoo, and the Wilds, located in eastern Ohio, southeast of Zanesville. The wilds is a Jack Hannah African Wildlife Safari. And lets not forget to mention the Wildlights attraction the zoo displays every winter.
3. The Short North
The short north is located just south of Ohio State's campus and north of downtown Columbus. As one of the big arts districts of Columbus, the Short North boasts a variety of galleries, shops, restaurants and bars. It's also a mere few minutes from downtown Columbus and Ohio State which makes it a popular spot for college students and professionals alike.
4. Nationwide Arena
Nationwide Arena is home to NHL team the Columbus Blue Jackets (although they aren't the best team in the NHL they had a franchise record breaking month for November 2016) and it also hosts a variety of concerts, sporting events and hockey games (not just professional). It's also located in the Arena District, which boasts not only Nationwide and a variety of restaurants and bars, but Huntington Park, home to the Columbus Clippers.
5. Mapfre Stadium (AKA Crew Stadium)
Although it's called Mapfre Stadium, locals know it as Crew Stadium. Home to MLS team the Columbus Crew. The stadium is located near downtown, and attracts a lot of crew fans.
