The Halloween season seems to go by so fast.

As the date approaches, it seems like there are so many things you want to do with your friends and family that you have done in the past. However, you may be finding that class workloads are getting heavier and the time in a day, or even the weekend, does not contain enough hours for you to fully do everything you want to do to celebrate this holiday correctly. However, this is a list of five simple things that you can do to put you in the Halloween mood!

1. Get A Costume!

Whether you are going to a Halloween party or trick-or-treating, a costume of any sort will most likely come in handy during this season. You don't have to spend $60 at a costume store, you can just throw something together at home, but make sure you have an idea. Especially if you're in college, there are many events that will most likely involve costumes. By getting a costume, it will make you feel more apart of the festivities and get into the Halloween spirit!

2. Decorate!

Decorating is a fun for any holiday! You can go to the craft store and get stick on decorations for your window and door. If you're in a dorm room setting it will definitely get the whole floor in the mood for Halloween!

3. Watch All of the Old Halloween Movies

From the Halloweentown sequels to The Addams Family, there are many movies that are considered tradition to watch during the Halloween season. As much as you can, try to watch as many movies as possible. In doing so, you will bring back memories of your childhood, while adding a fun thing to your Halloween activities. It is also a great way to interact with floor mates in your dorm and hang out!

4. Eat Candy Corn!

You might not think about this one as a "must do," but candy corn is THE classic candy associated with Halloween. Personally, it is not my favorite candy, but it still helps me to remember that it Halloween is approaching. Even if you only get one bag, it will still leave you with the feeling of Halloween.

5. Go to as Many Halloween Attractions as Possible!

There are many spooky and fun attractions.Colleges will have different activities, such as pumpkin painting. On the weekend, you and your friends and/or family can try to go to corn mazes and haunted hayrides. Depending on your schedule, you may be limited to this option, but try to go as much as possible. Attractions are so much fun and create amazing memories with friends and family!

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
