Let’s admit it, we all have the routine when we are sick, unable to move from the couch or bed.
1. You check social media every five minutes.
It’s a guilty pleasure, for sure. You keep checking Snapchat to see if there any new stories and…Nothing! We all know nothing has changed in the last five minutes but it gives us something to check when we cannot move.
2. Watch Netflix/re-runs of a show for hours.
It does not matter which show it is, but it occupies you. By the time you are feeling better, you have watched all eight seasons of "Full House"and the two seasons of "Fuller House." Or if Netflix is down, you watch the reruns on TV. But, hey, there are "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" reruns on all day.
3. You Google your symptoms on WebMD.
Even if you already went to the doctor’s office, you can never seem to resist looking up what you have. But then you find out that you have three days to live and will lose your legs in an hour. Don’t worry, I’m sure your runny nose and cough just means it’s a common cold and not a deadly plague.
4. You keep looking in the kitchen for food even if you cannot eat it.
Let’s face it, we all want to torture ourselves with the thing we want the most but cannot have. Slowly walking to the kitchen in search of something that looks appetizing, but no such luck. You go back to your room/the couch, just to get up in ten or fifteen minutes hoping to see something appear.
5. Sleep!
Okay, this one is a no-brainer. Getting sick takes a lot out of you. It’s good to take a little catnap occasionally. It is even better to take one when you’re sick. It just gives you energy for when you are feeling better and need to get out of the house after being stuck in it for days.
