A friend is described as someone who is helpful or as one whom you have a mutual bond/affection with.

But a best friend is the one who exceeds all the definitions and possibilities.

A best friend is the one who is with you through thick and thin. All the good, all the bad and everything in between.

They are the ones who make you laugh so uncontrollably that you not only wake up your whole house, but the neighbors as well.

They are the ones who pick you up when you are down, and may even kick you as a way to make you stronger.

They are the ones who help heal your heart when it has been broken and you’re not sure if it will ever heal again.

They are the first person you ever truly loved because you learned what true love was from them.

So, in honor of best friends everywhere, here are 5 things you and your best friend will never get tired of doing no matter how old you are.

1. Watching Movies... All Day

Whether it's the classic Disney movies like Mulan or some new one you found on Netflix, you will stay in all day and watch them, because why not?

2. Staying Up Late

It's almost a rule that if you and your best friend are having a sleepover, you are going to stay up late talking mostly about your lives... even if you do already know everything about the other's life.

3. Late Night Adventures

If you and your best friend are anything like mine, then you know your day/night is not complete until you go on some sort of adventure. My best friend and I like to grab a cup of hot chocolate and head to the beach for some late night waves.

4. Concerts In The Car

Concerts in the car are where you don't just sing Taylor Swift at the top of your lungs, but you commit by even adding in some choreography.

5. Eating

Whether you are just catching up or have the late night munchies, some of the best memories I have with my friends involve us going out to eat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
