As all of us die-hard "Grey's Anatomy" fans know, we all wish to be Meredith Grey. But unfortunately there is no Sloan Grey Memorial Hospital and there is no Meredith Grey. But from binge watching 12 seasons and now watching season 13, boy, do I wish it was real. From watching that show, I've learned that only I can be the best at what I do. Meredith Grey is the lead star of Grey's Anatomy and from her intern years to her now being an attending, she has taught me a lot.

1. We Can Only Hold Our Emotions In For So Long

No one has more baggage than Meredith, and even though she is the strongest person when it comes to her emotions, even she can't keep them bottle into that long. While watching past seasons Meredith has been to Hell and back and through all that she can keep it pretty composed. But it's okay not be okay and it's okay to show you are not okay.

2. Every Morning Is A New Start

The past is in the past and every morning is a chance to make this day better than the last. There are days where we can't even get out of bed, trust me I know. You may be thinking it's just one day out of the other 364, well soon that becomes two days then three, and then before you know, it's been two months and you haven't done anything. That's why it's so important to get out into the world and put one foot in front of the other and see that the world has to offer us.

3. We All have A Person

Friendship is one of the most important gifts we have in life. The friendship between Meredith and Christina shows us what's it like to have such a caring friendship that we find ourselves wishing for a friendship that or realizing we have such extraordinary people in our lives who is our person.

4. Time is a Fragile Thing

Meredith Grey has received so much loss in her life, more than most people will have in a lifetime. We never know when our last moments will be with that person. Every time we are with loved ones we need to cherish each second before it's too late and we don't have them in our lives. So while we can we have to make the most of what time we have left with our loved ones.

5. Make Yourself Heard

Meredith Grey is a phenomenal surgeon, but it took her time to get her here. She gained so much and at the same time lost so much too. But she wasn't afraid to be heard. Grey has shown us the ups and downs of her life and we have been on this journey with her. She has shown to be a strong mother, sister, and friend to everyone around her.

As an avid Grey's Anatomy fan from season one to 13, I can say Meredith Grey is an all-star badass who doesn't let anyone walk on her. She has shown strength and confidence, and, in my book, that's pretty impressive

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
