5 Things To See On A Road Trip From San Fran To LA

Most people choose to spend their spring break down in Florida partying on a beach. Others like to go on adventures. This is a guide for them. Whether you spend a day or four driving down the coast of California, you'll make memories of a lifetime and see all of the wonders this amazing side of the country has to offer.

1. Golden Gate Bridge

This iconic red bridge in the heart of San Francisco is a must before you start heading south. Right off of the highway is a look out point with the best place for pictures. Afterwards just hop back on the highway to go right over the bridge looking out over the bay. You can even see Alcatraz while heading over on the east side.

2. Monterey Bay Aquarium

Make sure to stop in at one of the best aquariums in California. With multiple exhibits ranging from jelly fish, penguins, and creatures of the deep. Monterey Bay Aquarium prides itself on having exhibits about the sea life in the bay right outside its doors. One of the best areas of the aquarium are the otters. They are always swimming around passed all of the visitors looking on with delight. I you have the time, have a meal in a waterfront restaurant and look around the shops on the streets of Monterey.

3. Carmel by the Sea

The picturesque little town of Carmel, California is everything it’s talked up to be. From the cute boutiques, to the homey inns, to the beautiful beach right down the road. If you’re looking to lengthen your trip, Carmel is the perfect stopping point for the night. Check out the family-owned restaurants and do a little shopping before heading to bed in a petite inn.

4. Bixby Bridge

Along the coast on Highway 1 travelers soon come across some of the oldest bridges on the west coast. These cement arch bridges built in the 1930’s are a beautiful picture opportunity. Being right by the coast you can get a couple snapshots of the waves crashing on the cliffs, too.

5. Santa Barbra

With the Spanish style homes lining the streets of Santa Barbra it’s easy to see why this town is on the top of most peoples list to see. The Santa Ynez Mountains make it all the more breath taking. Make sure to at least drive through this city before you head towards Los Angeles!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
