Coming from a love life past like mine, trust issues aren't the easiest thing to work through. However, when you meet someone who has had their trust taken advantage of too, it makes you realize that not all relationships will be the same as the last one.

Yes, I will say that it is very difficult to let your guard down, and it's difficult to let your significant other feel like they can let their guard down too. That is why I am here to tell you that there are little things you can do to reassure them you are there and loyal. Even if you 100% trust each other, it's not a bad thing to keep up with the little reminders of your loyalty.

Side note: this is coming from a girl who tends to be emotional and overthinks everything, just keep that in mind... lol

1. Send him a nice text while he's busy.

You know he's busy, but letting him know you're thinking of him is a nice subtle gesture. Guys seem like they don't have feelings, but I promise he appreciates it.

2. Don't let yourself get tired of those valuable conversations.

You will be surprised at the communication that happens late at night when he's walking you to your car. In my opinion and experience, this is where a lot of the valuable conversations have happened. I'm not sure what to tell you what to talk about, but we have had several amazing late night talks that turned into a 45-minute conversation.

3. Look at him in his eyes, and tell him you are not going anywhere.

Eye contact makes a difference, especially when he has the most attractive eyes you've ever seen.

4. Plan fun things.

This could entail whatever you want. You could definitely plan a huge, extravagant day, but what seems to be some of the most meaningful memories are the small, fun, and random ones.

5. Lastly, don't leave his side no matter what either of you is going through.

If you believe you are meant to be, then this one explains itself.

Trust is a big thing in a relationship, which isn't easy for some people to just give out, especially if they haven't had the best experience. Emotions are a powerful thing, so be sure to keep in mind that a relationship is a two-way street.

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
