5 Things To Love About Athens, Georgia

As if there are only 5.. here are a few things to love about good ol' Athens, Georgia.

1. THE DANG DAWGS

There really are few things that compare to screaming for those in the red and black on a Saturday. Ain't nothing finer in the land, I tell ya.

2. THE FOOD

Between the cornbread crusted trout at The Last Resort, the southern fried veggies at The Place, and the tacos at Taqueria La Parilla, you are bound to find something to help ya put on a few pounds. In addition to that.. the five Chick Fil A's and eight Waffle Houses aren't too bad either.

3. THE BARS

Athens is the epitome of a college town so if you aren't downtown at 100 Proof or drinking sweet tea at General's on a Friday night, what the heck are you doing?

4. MAMA'S BOY

To be honest.. after screaming for those dawgs all day and throwing back some vodka crans, there is nothing like waking up Sunday morning and waiting a few hours in line for some grits, eggs, and a chicken biscuit.

5. THE VIEWS

Whether you wanna hang out on North Campus for a little while to get some fresh air or take a little drive to Sandy Creek Park, you're bound to be surrounded by some beautiful things.

God Bless You Athens, Georgia. I love ya.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
