If you're anything like me, binge watching is a great way to relieve stress after a long, difficult day. However, it can get boring following the same routine. Are you looking for a hobby for creative fulfillment? Some of these hobbies may be right for you!

1. Crocheting

It's extremely gratifying to finish a project that you have spent a lot of time and effort on. Don't worry if your project isn't perfect; crochet is a very forgiving craft. If you mess up a stitch, just pull out and try again. You don't need to spend a lot of money either; there are lots of patterns and tutorials online for free.

2. Reading

There's nothing better than finishing a good book. While I prefer to have physical copies of my books, you can buy an e-reader and take multiple stories on the go! I recommend Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell, Ready Player One by Ernest Cline, and Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson.

3. Painting

There are many different mediums to choose from: acrylic, oil, watercolor, and more! I personally enjoy using this set from Koi to create art. However, if you aren't willing to spend a lot of money, you can still make good art with inexpensive supplies. Here is some wisdom from Bob Ross: "In painting, you have unlimited power. You have the ability to move mountains. You can bend rivers. But when I get home, the only thing I have power over is the garbage."

4. Volunteering

It doesn't take a lot to make a difference in someone's life; it just takes a little bit of time and a caring heart. You can browse the Internet or join service organizations at your university to learn more about the endless opportunities that are available to you! I've been volunteering for the past two years now and I've never felt happier.

5. Writing

Where would I be without writing? I certainly wouldn't be an English major. I've been working on various books for the past few years. No, they're not published, but it's still fun to write them! Don't know where to start? Try searching online for writing prompts or take a creative writing class at school or in your community!

Whether you try one, two, three, or all of my suggestions, I hope this article has given you some ideas for productive ways to de-stress and pass the time.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
