New York City is full of museums and tourist attractions. Besides Times Square and the 9/11 memorial, here are a few of my own recommendations when visiting the Big Apple.
1. The Empire State Building Experience
Imagine yourself 102 stories up in the air; that’s right, a bird’s eye, 360-degree view of NYC. That’s what the Empire State Building has to offer at the center of Midtown Manhattan. You can enjoy the view during the day, and at night, to see the city at heart, light and bright.
2. The Metropolitan Museum of Art
From Egyptian, to Asian, to Greek and Roman art, The MET has art collections of more than 5,000 years of culture.
3. Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island
Ellis Island was America’s busiest immigration station from 1892 to 1954. The island also holds the Statue of Liberty. Get as close to Liberty as you can by taking the Statue Cruise ferry across the NY water territory.
4. The American Museum of Natural History
The universe, dinosaurs, and insects, are just a few things you can explore at the American Museum of Natural History. Learn about the history of animals from across the world. Check out the space show in the hemispheric movie dome that guarantees a great seat. And explore the many dinosaur fossils.
5. Brooklyn Museum
The Brooklyn Museum strictly operates on donations. So admission is at whatever price you choose. The Brooklyn Museum has contemporary, cultural and ancient Egyptian art, as well as unique pieces of 17th to 20th century houses on display.
