As an independent women, we want the man we are about to pursue a relationships with to know and to be prepared for what we as independent women are made up of. We hold many qualities that make us amazing matches for one yet not the perfect match for another. Here are some of these things an independent woman would want you to know:

#1 She doesn't not like asking for help

She may see it as a sign of weakness or vulnerability. She will try everything she can before she asks you for help. Even though this may be her best characteristic it can get in the way also. When she pushes you away and says she can do it on her own when you know she's done enough and needs a little help, you have to push her back to let you help but don't over do it.

#2 Clinginess isn't a priority

Every girl likes some attention but an independent woman knows when and where the appropriate times are to show love and compassion. If you are looking for someone who is going to be all over you in public and constantly be complimenting you on your looks to boost your ego, then an independent woman is not for you.

#3 She does not have many friends

Due to her qualities of being so independent, some may look at that as intimidating. Independent women are very social so they have multiple acquaintances but do not hold on to many close friends. When you begin to get to know them you really get to find out that they are not intimidating but you will get the privilege of gaining a loyal companion.

#4 She embraces her independence

She is well aware of what she is capable of. As others may be slacking on work or day to day tasks, she is there planning on how to get it all done. She is no where perfect but she prefers to have as much as she can figured out. She stresses and she gets frustrated but she is not afraid to take on challenge. She thrives on her independence, it makes her who she is.

#5 She will inspire you

She has a way of handling life obstacles in different perspectives. She will take a hold of those obstacles whether they contain fear, failure, sadness, negativity, or anything else and give those obstacles the "I can overcome anything" attitude. Independent women are most afraid of not fulfilling their full potential in life. They try to take advantage of any opportunity that appears in front of them if it means new knowledge. They are incredibly intelligent. It shakes your perception of your own life and inspires you to fulfill new potential.

These are the women who will amaze you beyond belief; make you fall hopelessly in love with their mind of knowledge. Whose charm is beyond face, shape or matter.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
