5 Things That Every Person With Wanderlust Can Relate To

Traveling is a feeling like no other, which can be as addictive as hardcore drugs for many. I don’t know if it’s the rush of seeing new places and meeting new people, or if it’s solely based on the fact that so often we want to run away to new lands, to find ourselves and discover what else there is out there. Staying in one place has never been an option for me. I always feel the need to be exploring and finding new and exciting places. There is nothing like the feeling I get when I step foot onto new territory, to a place where I can see so many different kinds of people and beautiful sights.

1. You feel like there is too much beauty in the world to stay put and not explore it.

Knowing that there are so many beautiful places out there that you have not been to is just not acceptable to you. You feel like you need to get out and visit all of these places before it’s too late for you to do so.

2. You feel like a piece of your heart is missing, and you’re always searching for it.

You feel like there is something missing in your life that cannot be fulfilled, unless you are on the run and traveling to someplace new. The only thing that can fill this void inside of your heart is the rush that comes with the feeling of travel.

3. You love the feeling of walking out of your bus or hotel room and being able to stare at a completely new skyline, and watch people who you have never seen before, rushing past.

Whether it’s viewing the Eiffel Tower for your first time, as it lights up and sparkles on a warm summer night, or viewing all of London from the top carriage on the London Eye, you’re completely in love with new everything. New experiences, new sights, new sounds, new faces. The feeling that you get while experiencing everything new that comes along with a trip is indescribable to you.

4. You’re always planning and saving for your next trip/adventure.

Maybe you have a jar which you throw spare cash into, or maybe you always have your next adventure stored in the back of your brain. No matter what, you always have a goal set in your mind of where your next trip will be, and you plan on doing everything possible to make the idea become a reality.

5. You know that no matter where you travel, you will always still have the urge to find someplace new.

No matter how many places you have been to, or how many things you have seen, you will always be on the look-out for your next “high.” I call it a high, because traveling is like a drug that you just cannot quit. It is extremely addictive. Nothing will ever fulfill your needs to see more, experience more, feel more. And although it may cause you to have an empty wallet, you know you will always be rich with experience, culture, and adventure.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
