1. Irritating Relatives- During my last week of finals, my parents planned that I will be living with my relatives in Virginia. This news brought with it a lot of excitement which included visiting a new place, meeting new people but guess what? Nothing of that sort happened. I am literally spending my vacations at a house, sitting all day long and spending time with two people who are three times my age. If given a chance, I can run out of this mundane place!
2. My first job- This is the only good thing about my summer. I started my first job at a perfume store. I wasn't ready to a do a job this early but my parents kinda wanted me to have a routine so that o can get some good experience. Also since I wasn't really happy staying with my relatives, the job gave me a chance to meet new people and to have a productive summer break.
3. No free time with family- The weather's great and there's is so much going around town but it's for the first time that my family is not around here. Summer has always been special for me and I love summertime more than anything else in this world but my first college summer is literally going so rough and my parents are sitting miles apart. Honestly, this is the worst part of studying in a different country so plan accordingly!
4. Full of Drama- Let's face it, we are not heading to theaters as much as we used to and binge-watching Netflix in pajamas is pretty comfy. The major motion picture studios are investing a lot of money and making Netflix my guilty pleasure but I guess I have to appreciate it for giving me some of the best times.
Maybe, just maybe we love summer for it represents- an exploratory time. Getting away from home brings a transformation but even homebound, we change. The absence of college is not the real reason we love summer. Maybe our love of summer lies with how unsure the season is.
