10 Things To Start Doing For Yourself
Meaghan Mascitelli

Many of us put our happiness and dreams on hold for another day, when the truth is life is happening right now. If you want to make positive changes, today is the day. Here are ten things to start doing for yourself today.

1. Start making your own happiness a priority:

It's important to take time for yourself and realize that your needs matter.

2. Start spending time with the right people:

Surround yourself with people that bring you up and make you happy. Be around people that bring out the best in you and want to see you succeed.

3. Start noticing and living in the present:

Right now is a miracle. Right now is the only moment guaranteed to you. Right now is life. We have to stop worrying about the future and thinking about the past, and learn to be in the 'here and now.'

4. Start facing your problems head on:

It isn't your problems that define you, but how you react to them and recover from them. Problems will not disappear unless you take action. It's all about taking baby steps in the right direction.

5. Start giving thanks:

Gratitude is important. Take time to notice and reflect upon the things you're thankful for, and you'll experience more positive emotions.

6. Start forgiving yourself and others:

That doesn't mean you're erasing the past or forgetting what happened. It means you're letting go of resentment, and instead choosing to learn from the incident and move on with your life.

7. Start accepting things when they are less than perfect:

Sometimes it's better to accept and appreciate the world as it is, and people as they are, rather than trying to make everything and everyone conform to an impossible ideal.

8. Start being honest with yourself:

Be honest about what's right, as well as what needs to be changed.

9. Start celebrating the little things:

Small wins build you up to have more success. Every small victory counts.

10. Start simplifying your life:

If you are feeling too overwhelmed, start with seeing what you can remove to make your life have more balance and joy.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
