With Thanksgiving right around the corner, The Odyssey is providing all North Carolinians a list of things to be thankful for to get everyone ready to give thanks in three weeks!
1. The Carolina Panthers.
The Panthers have had a stellar season, and staying undefeated against Green Bay was the icing on the cake. Not only are the Panthers providing us with awesome wins, but their teal color looks great on everyone. They have also given us the gift of Luke Kuechly and Cam Newton.
2. All of the seasons in one week.
You're tired of being cold? Don't worry, in two days it will be 20 degrees warmer. One can really experience the fabricated Swinter (summer and winter) season Phineas and Ferb created.
3. Almost every type of vacation spot can be found in North Carolina.
Without leaving the state, one can see two major cities, the beach, and the mountains. The geography of our state is very broad, and provides easy site seeing without leaving home.
4. Nothing compares to the Biltmore House during the holidays.
To North Carolinians, the Biltmore House is a point of pride. Everyone can agree that out of all the amazing traditions of the holiday season, the best one of all is seeing the Biltmore House decorated for Christmas.
5. The people inhabiting this wonderful state of ours.
The natives to North Carolina are friendly people, and are living characters from "The Andy Griffith Show," which consequently was filmed in North Carolina. We may disagree on which college has the best basketball team (Go Pack), but as a whole, we are a collection of great people who are full of state pride.
