5 Things To Never Go A Day Without Saying

We are never promised tomorrow, so we have to say it today.

5 Things To Never Go A Day Without Saying

Recently, I began to realize that no one person is promised tomorrow, and that means that we have to make the most out of every moment. I truly believe that everyday on this earth is a blessing that we cannot take for granted, and that's why there are some things that I see necessary to be a part of my daily routine. I have made these five things mean so much to me, and their impact has already made all of my days a little brighter. It is so important to express to those around you just how much you care, and how you're feeling. These 5 things will be said at least one time everyday for the rest of my days.

1. Thank you.

Whether it's someone holding the door open for you or saving your life, this one is huge! If you let the people around you see that you appreciate what they do for you then that will make you and them happy. Never let someone believe that there is no point in doing something nice for somebody else and show your gratitude with these two easy words.

2. You're amazing because ___

I make a point to make sure that my friends, family, and loved ones always know just how special they are. Everyone was made for some amazing and beautiful purpose and they should always know that you can see that. If you let these words flow out it may not be a big deal to you, but I guarantee you can make someone else's day.

3. I feel like ___

I never let a day go by without expressing my feelings toward someone or something. If I don't like a certain situation, I speak up and use that as a way to always make sure I am living up to my potential. You won't be a very happy person if you keep your emotions bottled up, so tell people how you feel.

4. You can do it.

The little extra push can be EVERYTHING for some people. If you come across a person who is down or not feeling like they can make it through, tell them that you believe in them. Your extra drive and understanding can turn around someone's day even if you think you can't make a huge impact.

5. I love you.

I refuse to let this one slide. Telling someone you love them is such a precious thing, and if you don't do it today, you might not be able to say it tomorrow. Don't live your life with the regret of missing out on the care and compassion of another, and never let those that you love think otherwise.

I want to live everyday with the expectation that tomorrow might not come, and saying these words is just one way that I do it. I will not let a day go by without speaking the truths I have deep in my heart, and I hope you won't either.

When it comes to Bloomington-Normal, there are many outstanding factors that any Illinois State student can say are unique to our college town (and maybe others too). Proud or not, we Redbirds know all the ins and outs of Blono.

1. The wait for Buffalo Wild Wings is always going to be long on Thursday nights.

As hard as we try, it's nearly impossible to resist the 69-cent wings on a college student budget. Plus, they are always delicious!
