5 Things I Learned From Dorm Life

5 Things I Learned From Dorm Life

1) RA's can be a hit or miss

I lucked out and got a pair of great RAs. They're friendly, perfect role models and actually give a damn about our issues.

2) Closet space be damned

Of all the luxuries at home my walk in closet (that now stands empty) is missed dearly. But the closets in a dorm take up half the space already so what can you do.

3) Roommates can wreck havoc or create a home

Finding the good ones must be my best stroke of luck and I think I'll stick with them.

4) Dining halls

You're spoiled if one is part of your residence hall. There's not much more you can ask for.

5) Hallmates

Can be the best or the worst…. and what I mean is I was spoiled first semester to have no neighbors to the left of my room. Loud can't even describe it!

Overall though it's been a great experience and I've made some amazing friends, found advice and guidance I probably wouldn't of wanted to live anywhere else! So don't worry, the benefits outweigh the sacrifice: on most days at least...
