Recently I have been in a very fall mood. The weather may still be way too hot but the leaves are changing! I can feel myself being bitten by the fall bug. I have been craving all things fall. These are a few things I have been obsessing over lately.

1. Suede EVERYTHING

I have been seeing suede everywhere when I go shopping (which is at least once a week) and I am loving it. Within the past month I have bought at least ten clothing or accessory pieces made of my new-found favorite fabric.

2. Knee-high boots

Recently I saw a picture of one of the Kardashians (or maybe it was a Jenner) wearing some knee-high suede boots (I told you I love suede). I thought "those are kinda cute" but then went on with my life. This past week one of my coworkers mentioned wanting a pair and I can't get them out of my mind. I have put them in my online cart at least 100 times.

3. Candles

I love candles. More specifically, I love Bath and Body Works candles. It seems like this past month they have had a ton of promotions and sales for their candles. I have more than stocked up. My boyfriend is probably beyond tired of being dragged into the glorious store to sniff all the scents.

4. Booties

I'm loving those cute little booties for fall (and no, not the kind Beyonce is known for). I work at a shoe store so I am surrounded by them every time I go into work. I am more then guilty of buying quite a few pairs at this point.

5. Anything nude

From nude lip colors to nude clothing pieces, nude is my favorite color right now. This is more than predictable since my favorite quote from a movie is when Encarnación in Nacho Libre says "Well, my favorite color is light tan." As I'm writing this I am wearing a nude lip, nude nail polish, and a nude, suede skirt. It's a problem.

6. Vests

After last fall ended I stocked up on tons of vests. I love vests in all shapes, colors, and textures. My favorite are the faux fur but I've also been sporting the puffer and quilted vests. I find that they are an easy thing to throw on to stay warm and really spruce up an outfit.

7. Plaid

Whether is a good ole flannel, a vest, or a blanket scarf, I'm loving plaid. I feel like it's a timeless print that just screams FALL.

8. Liquid lipsticks

I love a good matte lip for fall. I'm loving nudes and dark, berry colors for fall. I just feel like a nice matte lip color completes any makeup look.

Fall is my favorite season so I get so excited for all the new trends and products that roll out. I'm sure by the time this month is over I'll have found quite a few more things that I love. For now, these eight things are some of my favorites.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
