5 Things I Hate About Winter

I'm sure that everyone has something that they hate about every season, but it seems that winter seems to have the most hate associated with it, and for good reason. There aren't many positives going on in the winter, especially if you start to get hammered with snow and ice storms, which brings me to the start of a 5 item list of things that I hate about Winter.

  1. Snow and Ice Storms
  2. Snow and Ice Storms can easily be one of the things that I hate the most about winter, simply because if the storm is bad enough it can shut everything down, and it can shut everything down for DAYS at a time. Especially when the storms include a mixture of rain into it, which can cause even more ice to form! Snow storms typically just create more problems for the general population, because not everyone is into or has time to enjoy the snow like we did when we were kids.

  3. Other Drivers
  4. It seems like every year when we have snow everyone forgets how to drive in snow and there are a few highways with an extremely high number of car accidents in a short amount of it. I know that for me I'm not scared or nervous to drive in the snow because I know how to do what I need to do in order to keep myself safe and out of the way of other drivers. However, I cannot and am unable to, trust other drivers to have the same knowledge and understanding of how to control their car in the sudden shift of weather.

  5. Shoppers
  6. It seems like everyone has to do last minute shopping, and so in consequence there happen to be a ton of people in just about every store imaginable. What is not okay is it seems that the overall general attitude during this time becomes sour and people start acting more and more rude towards workers and other shoppers in a way that is unjustified and unfathomable to even believe that people would even act that way towards someone who has no control over how many people are out and about.

  7. Snowmobilers
  8. Out here around the lake, I hear snowmobilers go around at many times during the day. One of these times just so happens to be around 2 o'clock in the morning, just about every morning. Now, I'm glad you're having fun out there in the snow while I'm inside cursing at life for putting me into this state with air that hurts my face, but do you really need to make as much noise as possible at 2 am while most of the world is trying to sleep?

  9. Christmas
  10. This one I think is going to get a lot of anger towards me, but read on first. Christmas annoys me because it seems like no one cares about what the meaning of Christmas is, and just worry about how many gifts they can receive and being a Grinch to all the people that don't give them what they want. I don't like how a holiday can bring out so much hatred within people's hearts and how they can so easily show that hatred to the outside world.

I also see acts of kindness that just seem to melt my heart at this time of year, and those acts make me feel better about people in general, then I see people being mean and rude to each other and doing so in the names of their respective beliefs, and that is not okay. Love each other like we are supposed to, and you'll notice that Christmas may just be a little better this year.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
