Caring about other people's opinions can be detrimental to your happiness. You let it consume you, changing who you are to fit into society's mold. When you let go of the idea that you need to be who someone else wants you to be, you will remove a lot of stress from your life.

1. You Add More Hours To Your Day.

When you aren't trying to primp so much every morning to look good, you will realize how much more time you have for important things, like more sleep.

2. You Start Wearing What You Want.

So you love crocs? Sweet, wear them. Want to bust out the red lipstick? Go for it.

3. You Start Doing What You Want.

If you want to sit in your room and watch Netflix all day, it's cool. If you want to play Assassin with your hall, like many students at Graceland are doing right now, that's cool too. Whip out your foam sword and go get them.

4. You Speak Your Mind.

Many people are too afraid to speak up in class, even when they feel they have a good point. When you don't care if others judge you, you'll start to say what you want.

5. You'll Be So Much Happier.

Living your life free from societal pressure is an amazing feeling. You start to inch out of your shell and show the world who you really are. Everyone will love you for your true self and you will love your newfound confidence.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
