In a perfect world, naps are unlimited.
1. Waking up tired
Beyoncé wakes up flawless and I wake up tired. It’s a tragic life I live. But I have come to accept it. I know some people are probably out there thinking “she’s not special, everyone wakes up tired.” But I know that there are people out there who wake up all happy and refreshed. Well, I can’t relate.
2. Literally doing nothing all day and still being tired
It’s a talent, honestly. Sitting at home all day, not doing anything with my life, but still somehow managing to be tired. I don’t know how I do it. I can wake up, eat food, and then be like “wow, I can really go for a nap right now.” Or sitting in bed watching Netflix all day and falling to sleep. It’s a talent, I'm telling you.
3. Knowing that naps are essential
While in school, I had naps built into my schedule. Depending on how my class times, prime naptime hours were between 2:00-4:00 p.m. There is nothing that can come between my naps. My naps mean everything to me. Naps for me also vary in time. I can nap for anywhere between 2-5 hours. I don’t define naps by how long they are, but more like what time of the day they are taken.
4. The after-lunch sleepiness
Lunch time. One of my most favorite times of the day. But the after-lunch sleepy’s are the worst. I am sooooooo tired after I eat lunch. I feel like there has to be some kind of science behind this because every single time I eat lunch, right after I am ready to take me a good ol nap. But I can’t because I have to go back to work *insert crying emojis*
5. Saying you’re tired when you’re not really tired but you are tired at the same time
Yes, there are those times, those rare times where I am not tired. But even though I am not tired, I am tired at the same time. I know it may not make sense to some, but my people who are always tired get me!
Even as I write this article I am tired.
