From Lorelai’s dream of befriending Amy Schumer to their joint defense of the nutritional benefits of tater tots, we can surely expect the wit to be back and better than ever.

We’ve finally passed the final week mark – Gilmore Girls comes back to our screens in five days people! The trailer for “Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life” was released almost a month ago on October 25th, and since then we’ve been gifted with tidbits and teasers from some of our favorite Stars Hallow residents that have just barely managed to keep us through that last month of waiting. Now, with the premiere less than a week away, most of us are surely taking a second (or fourth) glance at that trailer for a fresh look at what we can expect come Friday. So between the trailers and promos we've been given, here are FIVE of the best things to look forward to with the four-part Netflix revival.

Bonus (!): As I'm writing this, I've discovered a second, full-length trailer I had no idea had come out and all I can say is YAS.

1. Lorelai and Rory's classic banter

The unique facet of the Gilmore show was no doubt the incredible pacing in its equally amazing writing, and thankfully the writers seem to have passed that on to its sequel (bless you, Amy Scherman-Palladino). Lorelai and Rory’s banter is on point with the same fast-paced, quirky repartee filled with their signature pop culture references. From Lorelai’s dream of befriending Amy Schumer to their joint defense of the nutritional benefits of tater tots, we can surely expect the wit to be back and better than ever.

2. Catching up with old characters

If the trailers are to be believed, we’re going back to Stars Hollow and literally getting to see everyonefrom the original show. Dean at Doosey’s Market (really hoping he did more for himself), Taylor heading town meetings, Babette and Miss Patty gossiping in the town square – everyone’s back, and some in some very unexpected places. Jess in Stars Hollow? Paris at Chilton? Kirk at Friday-night dinners? (Can’t wait for them to explain that one). The most beloved of Stars Hallow’s residents are taking up our screens as if they’d never left and we can’t wait to see what they’ve been up to for the last eight years.

3. Rory's career

Last we saw of Rory, she was off to join Barack Obama’s campaign trail in the first of surely many steps to become the next Christiane Amanpour. Yet now, what small teasers we could see from the trailers have her…in Chilton? Something clearly didn’t go as planned. Though realistic, in a sense, to show that even the smartest and most prepared students can struggle to find their way in the real world, I think we’re all curious to see how Rory found herself back in Stars Hallow. (Here’s hoping she finds her underwear.)

4. Old romances

Rory's love life had us hanging at the edge of our seats with her steady - and sometimes not so steady - stream of relationships throughout the show, but when she rejected Logan's proposal at the end of season seven, there was no doubt that that was exactly what was right for her at the time. However, eight years have passed and it doesn't seem like Rory has anyone significant in her love life as of right now and by the looks of things, she's about to run into some very familiar faces during her visit to Stars Hallow. Which one of her exes will be lucky enough to reconnect with her, if any at all? #TeamDean? #TeamJess? Nope, #TeamLogan all the way (in my totally unbiased opinion).

(A little side note to Luke and Lorelai: how are you not married yet?!)

5. Dealing with Richard's death

Edward Herrmann’s passing in 2014 was a devastating shock to the entire Gilmore Girls fandom, fans and cast alike. Richard was without a doubt one of the central characters of the original show, and I’m so glad they’re dealing with the actor’s passing so centrally in the revival. We’re getting to see how Richard’s death affects each one of the Gilmore women, what will no doubt add a deeper level of sentiment to the already nostalgic reboot – even if they can still find ways to bring out the humor in it in the classic Gilmore fashion.

The 5 Painfully True Stages Of Camping Out At The Library

For those long nights that turn into mornings when the struggle is real.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

The 14 Stages Of The Last Week Of Class

You need sleep, but also have 13 things due in the span of 4 days.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

As this semester wraps up, students can’t help but be stressed about finals. After all, our GPAs depends on these grades! What student isn’t worrying about their finals right now? It’s “goodbye social life, hello library” time from now until the end of finals week.

1. Finals are weeks away, I’m sure I’ll be ready for them when they come.
