If you were stranded on an island, these are the items you’d (I’d) need.

I may be slightly materialistic but these are the items I could not live without. I hope they inspire you to add to your wardrobe or you feel relieved when you already have all and can spare your bank account. Let’s be real though, our wardrobe is never fully complete.

1. Plain White T-shirt

C’mon guys, “Friends” coined this for us but it truly is a must. Whenever you are in doubt of what to wear, you can always bank on a plain white T. It is a simple yet classy look. Put on some jeans, heels, a cool necklace and you are ready to go. So easy and so cute. After all, there is a band named after this clothing item ;)

2. Black Jeans

I could be biased on this one since it is really all I wear but I am still pushing for it to be a must. Black jeans are key because if you are going to something slightly fancy but a dress is just not in the cards for you, the jeans can fancy up any outfit while still being comfy. They also give you quite an edge and make you look thinner (and who doesn’t want that?) I definitely feel like I could pull off any cool look when I have my trusty black jeans on. (Jamie Jeans from Topshop anyone?? I know I’m not the only one)

3. Bomber Jacket

While most things from the '80s-'90s seem to be resurrecting, bomber jackets are absolutely my favorite. They are puffy and will keep you warm while still adding a cool flair to your outfit. Bomber jackets are scary at first, I will admit. “Can I pull it off?” “Am I trying too hard to look ~hipster~?” Chances are no, and even if yes, who cares? Go for it because I promise they are the BOMB. Also, who doesn’t want to look like Gigi and Kendall walking down the street? Let’s be real.

4. Combat Boots

We’ve graduated from UGGs ladies. Well, to be honest, I still wear them for warmth but combat boots are my go-to fashion staple (and by the way UGGs are out). Now again, combat boots are intimidating but once you put them on they are sure to make your outfit complete. They go with absolutely everything: dresses, skirts, jeans, leggings… I swear! They are sturdy too, nothing is worse than seeing someone in UGGs with the heel worn out and slanted from too much wear (we all know what I’m talking about). Boots, in general, can upgrade any outfit while still keeping it young and fresh. They are an easy grab out of any closet and well… they just make you feel cool.

5. Oversized Sweater

Basic, I know. I sound like a tweet about Fall coming but I cannot help it. Nothing beats an oversized sweater in the Fall, Winter, and even Spring where I’m from. It can be dressed up or down to fit the occasion and not to mention, you are comfy no matter what. So if you want to look like an Instagram or Pinterest model, buy the oversized sweater and complete your closet the right way.

So ladies or guys, stock up your closet with these must-have staples. Look good feel good right?

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
